Post Re: Geology as a career

Nobody here will tell you studying Geology is not a good choice career-wise. Most of us studied it and enjoy every bit of it. We even spend time outside work discussing issues on this forum. I also believe the ones that built the most exciting and fun careers didn't worry about what career opportunities they had when they started studying geology. The most important thing is that you enjoy what you do.

I've seen multiple young geology ask what the best courses or decision are for the best career opportunities on these forums. Each time the professionals indicate that it's about interest in a subject. From interest, comes dedication and enthusiasm.. and work won't just be a job it will be a paid hobby.

So yes, you have a great career ahead of you as long as you enjoy Geology. The scope of work will be as varied as you make it...

Sorry for the abstract answer, but I hope this helped.
