Job Description

They are currently recruiting for the position of GIS Technician, based in Baku, Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan local national salary and terms of employment apply to this position.
Main responsibilities will include;
Providing GIS support using ESRI ArcGIS software (and extensions).
Perform data collection inputs for implementation for Offshore pipelines.
Quality Control checks of GIS data and metadata.
Liaise with both survey and engineering personnel to ensure timely and quality inputs to the GIS.
Provide specific GIS deliverables as required to support in-country Operations Activities
Ensure compliance with company HSE regulations
Essential education
Higher Technical Education Diploma / Tertiary Education Diploma /HNC Qualification (or equivalent) in Geography, Engineering or Computer Science and ESRI GIS
Training, and proficiency in a variety of GIS and drafting applications including but not limited to ArcGIS and AutoCad.
Essential criteria
Experience with GIS data in a GIS, Cartography, Mechanical, Engineering or Drafting environment.
Strong reporting skills required with a proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.
Good English language skills
