Data Management Technician based in Perth. Competitive Salary and Package
My client is a highly reputable international oil and gas operator. Although being relatively new to the Australia market they have an impressive portfolio which covers a broad range of Exploration and Production activities. This includes both onshore and offshore exploration projects primarily in Western Australia. They are looking for an ambitious candidate to join their team as a Data Management Technician.
The successful Data Management Technician will be responsible for maintaining and updating onshore unconventional workstation projects. They will provide management of for all the geoscience data that is related to these projects. This will include well data, seismic data and cultural data. The primary focus of the role will be on the management and loading of well data due to the high number of wells on these projects. Therefore skills and experience in these areas are essential.
Some skills and experience are essential for this role. These are listed below:
*Minimum of 5 years' experience working in the oil and gas industry
*Ability to test and troubleshoot software
*Experience in unconventional plays
*Experience using ArcGIS, Landmark and Petrel software
*A good understanding of relational database technology
The successful candidate will also be a good team player, have the ability to multi-task effectively and able to manage their time suitably.
