Job Description
Contribute to the evaluation of plays, leads and exploratory prospects by means of applying geophysical techniques in accordance with quality, Safety and Environmental standards in order to create value and guarantee the replacement of company reserves.
Be able to work both independently and within a team focused in play analysis and prospect generation.
- Compile and organize surface and subsurface geophysical information and consolidate it in georeferenced databases, ensuring the quality of the data forming the basis for projects.
- Participate in the design of seismic acquisition campaigns (2D and 3D) and data processing sequences selection and supervision, in collaboration with specialists, in order to obtain critical information for the project.
- Working knowledge of interpretation of gravity and magnetic data is a plus
- Seismic interpretation and mapping in a variety of structural and stratigraphic settings undertaking specialized geophysical studies (rock physics, seismic attributes, synthetic seismograms, depth conversion, etc.) to technically develop the projects.
- Produce and present technical reports with graphic information supporting the interpretation of data (maps and graphic output from various IT applications).
- Evaluate and asses key subsurface risks, volumetrics, resources and economic parameters for the projects. Carry out a project ranking in order to recommend the best opportunities and the best prospects for drilling.
- Prepare supporting geophysical documentation for drilling design, including geopressure analysis and Shallow Hazards analysis in order to guarantee operational quality and safety.
- Participate in the production of the post-drill report. Compile the lessons learned, best practices and key indicators for application in future projects.
- Prepare Technical Specifications to support the process of purchasing materials and services.
