ARC Resistivity Samples (ARTK) |
This is a log of measurements along a well bore (a well-log). You might have encountered this acronym ARTK in your log evaluation software or any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. The official name for this log is 'ARC Resistivity Samples'. This log is not used too often in the industry. This log displays readings of the density of data samples per length of borehole traversed, for a resistivity logging measurement. In general this log thus reflects units of the mwd data density. In other words, the density of data samples per length of borehole traversed; may be expressed as samples per unit length or as a Boolean indicator of sample presence within a depth frame. Simply said, this is a log that describes the density (mass per unit volume) of a material. Usually at Standard conditions (STP). Also used to indicate the frequency of occurrence.This log in unitless. Either the log measurements can not be expressed with a unit (eg. a ratio) or the unit is unknown to us.
