Smoothed Neutron Data Density (SDDN) |
This is the name of a log measured along a well bore (a well-log). You could have found the code SDDN in your log evaluation software or your corporate datastores. The acronym stands for 'Smoothed Neutron Data Density'. This log is very common in the industry. This log displays readings of the density of data samples per length of borehole traversed, for a neutron logging measurement. Furthermore, this can be explained by looking at the mwd data density. Better said, the density of data samples per length of borehole traversed; may be expressed as samples per unit length or as a Boolean indicator of sample presence within a depth frame. Concluding, this is a measure of the density (mass per unit volume) of a material. Usually at Standard conditions (STP). Also used to indicate the frequency of occurrence.This log usually has the unit 'Counts Per Length'.
