ISONIC Samples (STIK) |
This is a log of measurements along a well bore (a well-log). The acronym STIK is a unique identifier to recognize this particular log and can be encountered in your log evaluation software or your corporate datastores. The acronym stands for 'ISONIC Samples'. This log is not used too often in the industry. This log can be used to evaluate the density of data samples per length of borehole traversed, for a sonic logging measurement. In general this log therefore displays units of the mwd data density. Better said, the density of data samples per length of borehole traversed; may be expressed as samples per unit length or as a Boolean indicator of sample presence within a depth frame. So basically this is a measure of the density (mass per unit volume) of a material. Usually at Standard conditions (STP). Also used to indicate the frequency of occurrence.This log in unitless. Either the log measurements can not be expressed with a unit (eg. a ratio) or the unit is unknown to us.
