Job Description

Well Site Geologist -

- 6 Month Contract

- Equal Rotation

Job Description:

The Contractor shall provide experienced wellsite geologist with comprehensive geological

services at the rig site as mentioned below:

- Complete well-site kit to perform all geological sample processing (rock description, oil

shows analysis,…etc) on the rig site. Gas detector/Gas Chromatography as optional.

- The kit shall be of latest technology with a software. It must be capable of performing the

operation. The kit should be equipped with all required equipment and software to

generate "Depth/Time based Logs".

- The kit shall comply with all applicable HSE requirements and ARN LLC

Safety Standards. It shall be inspected by the HSE advisor Representative and shall not

be used unless approved by the HSE advisor.

1. Comply with all HSE rules, guidelines & policies.

2. evaluating offset data before the start of drilling.

3. analyzing, evaluating and describing formations while drilling, using cuttings, ROP, MWD

(formation evaluation measurement while drilling) and wireline data.

4. comparing data gathered during drilling with predictions made at the exploration stage.

5. advising on drilling hazards and drilling operations optimization;

6. taking full responsibility for making decisions about suspending or continuing drilling.

7. advising operations personnel on-site and in the operations office.

8. acting, in effect, as the representative of the onshore oil company geology team in rig site.

9. supervising mud logging, MWD/LWD, coring and wireline services personnel and

monitoring quality control in relation to these services.

10. keeping detailed records, writing reports, completing daily and final-well reporting logs and

sending these to appropriate departments.

11. maintaining up-to-date knowledge of MWD (measuring while drilling) tools, such as gamma

and resistivity, as geosteering becomes increasingly important;

12. Communicating regularly with onshore operations offices.
