An Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company seek a Development Geophysicist to play a key role in re-interpreting a newly re-processed dataset. Applicants are invited with a minimum of 10 years’ industry experience and excellent development geophysical interpretation skills.

Requirements: Degree in Geology or Geophysics. At least 10 years relevant geophysics experience, including a strong background in developmental geophysics…. Previous experience of working assets in Russia, Ukraine, and Central & Eastern Europe advantageous.


Job Description


Job Status: 4-5 month Contract with possible extension

Start Date: ASAP

Interview Date: ASAP

Open To: EU Nationals or UK work permit holders

Package: The Contractor will be paid between £800 - £1000 per day.

Job Overview: An Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company seek a Development Geophysicist to play a key role in re-interpreting a newly re-processed dataset. Applicants are invited with a minimum of 10 years’ industry experience and excellent development geophysical interpretation skills. The Client has been highly successful in realising their strategy of developing oil and gas interests. Their core assets are centred in and around the states of the former Soviet Union…The Client now requires a very experienced Development Geophysicist to do a re-interpretation of the structurally complex data-set, so that they can update/rebuild their subsurface geo-models and re-launch their drilling program…The work will be done at the client office in central London in conjunction with their in-house team consisting of a staff Geologist and staff Reservoir Engineer…The Client own a full SeisEarth package, but also have Kingdom and Petrel, and are prepared to buy whatever software the successful candidate is most familiar with…The work is expected to take 4-5months by concentrating on certain key areas - potential of expansion or part-time work on completion…Requirements: Degree in Geology or Geophysics. At least 10 years relevant geophysics experience, including a strong background in developmental geophysics…. Previous experience of working assets in Russia, Ukraine, and Central & Eastern Europe advantageous.
