They are looking to contract a Well site geologist who can assist on a rotational project based in Gabon - 1 year renewable.

Specialist Well site Geologist
Leap29 is working in conjunction with an international operator in the oil & gas industry based in Paris.
They are looking to contract a Well site geologist who can assist on a rotational project based in Gabon - 1 year renewable.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for ensuring that geological data acquired at well site are of the highest quality as per the client standard. A key role is A key role is performing the quality control during wire line logging.
To meet the above responsibilities it is anticipated that the following services will be managed by the well site geologist:
*Evaluating offset data before the start of drilling
*Describe all rock samples and associated shows in accordance with the standard
*Comparing data gathered during drilling with predictions made at the exploration stage;
*Undertake coring (planning, cutting, recovery and dispatch) in accordance with procedures
*Witness Wireline logging and QC all logs
*Document all logs (Wireline/MLD/LWD) using the Log Quality Control (LQC)
*Document Mudlogging LQC report weekly as per form
You will act as the focal point to ensure that all relevant well site data (curve and constant data) from mudloggers, Wireline loggers and other services, to the log-drawing and petrophysics software at well site and, on request, transfer those data electronically to Operation Geologists
The suitable consultant with have at least 5-8 years experience as a well site geologist within Oil and Gas industry.
The ability to speak French will be essential.
