Our client in the UAE are currently looking for a Chief Operations Geologist to join them, working on international projects in a leading and visible position for Subsurface Operations Programs.
Job Purpose
-Focal point for the design of well and formation evaluation programs including related contractual documentation.
-Responsible for the planning and delivery of the subsurface operations programs for operated exploration, appraisal and development wells.
- Responsible for the evaluation of objective delivery.
-Responsible for the planning and delivery of the Site Surveys and Geo-hazards evaluations.
-Responsible for the delivery of JV Partner and Government data and reporting obligations.
Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries
-Focal point for worldwide Geological Operations, liaising with Drilling & Reservoir Evaluation Departments based in UAE and well site geologists based on operation locations. Collaborative Team Player but ready to express Constructive Criticism within the Team and with Partners.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Knowledge, Skills and Experience
-Degree in Geology (Chief Geological Operations) professional experience out of which at least 10 yrs. in an equivalent role with an Operating Company.
-Capable of interpreting and integrating all well information & data, including logs and formation pressure measurements.
-Work experience in multiple basins / countries.
- Ideally have worked or is working for a major oil company or a major independent, rather than a service company or a NOC.
-Past experience of working and living in North Africa - Middle East a plus
