Chief Development Geologist based in Kuala Lumpur. Competitive salary and excellent package
My client is a highly reputable worldwide oil and gas exploration and production company. They are looking for a Chief Development Geologist to join their experienced multidisciplinary team working from their Malaysia office.
The successful candidate will work closely with the team reviewing the development geological activities that take place on all of the Malaysian producing fields. The candidate will also be responsible for providing training and advice to junior staff while reviewing them on a regular basis.
The candidate must have geological modeling experience. They will be expected to carry geologic modeling work on the development fields when necessary. Therefore they should be able to provide update or input to models that are already fully integrated.
Some of the skills and experience required for this Chief Development Geologist role are listed below:
*University degree in Geology
*A minimum of 13 years experience, including some work on field development projects
*Proven experience building 3D geo-cellular models using the Petrel software
*Good knowledge of shallow water
*Ability to write and speak fluent English
*Providing mentoring and training to members of a multi-disciplinary team
*Good presentation and communication skills
