Chronos Consulting's client is an independent gobal energy firm headquartered in Europe, with a strong focus in unconventional shale/tight oil in Poland. This individual will lead work in the company's mature oil and gas field projects. We are looking for a senior level engineer with excellent hands-on engineering and subsurface analytical skills who can work effectively in a team environment to lead and deliver on strategic projects in Poland.
Key Requirements
8-10+ years of relevant experience in unconventional oil & gas coupled with a degree in Engineering.
Excellent hands-on engineering and subsurface analytical skills along with good working knowledge and understanding of petrophysics and geology.
Experience in planning, budgeting and costing for the subsurface team.
Strong knowledge in Reservoir Engineering with past experience building reservoir simulation models.
Energy and enthusiasm, with a focus on results and the ability to work effectively on your own as well as with different multinational organisations.
Experience of standard industry software and working knowledge in English are essential.
Extensive travel within Poland to multiple sites.
Fluent in Polish.
Job Description
The Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director in Warsaw you will be responsible for:
Assisting with the interpretation of reserves estimates and reservoir characteristics for prospective Business Development opportunities.
Coordinating and ensuring delivery and reporting of company reserves estimates.
Overseeing reservoir simulation, reviews and recommending strategies for production optimisation.
Generating reserve estimates and production profiles.
Acting as the lead engineer on the Company's mature oil and gas fields.
Coaching and developing less experienced staff.
