• Ensure technical excellence of the G&G studies by providing the technical support and peer review, evaluate opportunities
Key Requirements
1. BSc in Geology or Geophysics
2. Post graduate/Doctorate in Applied Geology/Geophysics
3. 20-25 years of hands on experience in the discipline with at least 15 years of interpretation experience
4. Working experience with an multinational and global major
5. Strong technical skills in geology/Geophysics
6. Wide experience in operations, exploration and development geology
7. Exposure to geological interpretation software tools
8. Understanding of the subsurface uncertainties and risks
9. Exposure to several global basins and geological settings with reputed companies
8. Proven track record of having lead integrated teams
10. Record in developing FDPs and seismic data acquisition.
Job Description
1. Lead Asset Team and work with all asset teams.
2. Work with members of Technology group, Asset Teams, JV partners and contractors to ensure timely delivery of technical deliverables with highest technical standards.
3. Provide technical guidance to project teams on all geological aspects
4. Provide advice and recommendations on usage of latest techniques and best geological practices
5. Appraise the management of the activities and suggest course corrections
6. Generate reports on the activities of the department on a regular basis to the top management
7. Champion of G&G excellence across the company
8. Support KEC with any farm-in, farm-out and new opportunities
9. Planning, mentoring and training of the geology colleagues
10. Provide quality assurance on all geology related activities – exploratory and development drilling, geological contracts, acreage assessment
11. Keep abreast of new technical developments by participating in conferences and other forums
12. Fill the technical gaps of geology staff in the Head office and area offices by organising trainings and discussion forums.
13. Strive to develop in-house capabilities to reduce consultant costs
14. Support HR department in the selection of right professionals
15. Participate in the best HSSE Practices and intervene in unsafe acts.
16. Generate FDPs and Exploration plans.
17. Design, acquire and interpret seismic data.
