An International Oil and Gas Exploration and Production company has a key opening for a senior geological specialist to take up a vital role liaising between G&G, production and reservoir engineering to constructing static geological models of reservoirs to be used as a guide for well planning.
Key Requirements
Desired Skills & Experience
BSc in Geosciences
Minimum 10 years of experience with major or independent operators
International experience
Minimum 5 years in senior technical position
Experience of building reservoir models of clastic reservoirs
Preferred expertise in Petrel reservoir modeling software or similar
Experience in oil and gas in-place volumes calculations including use of Petrel
Excellent formation evaluation skills

An International Oil and Gas Exploration and Production company has a key opening for a senior geological specialist to take up a vital role liaising between G&G, production and reservoir engineering to constructing static geological models of reservoirs to be used as a guide for well planning.
The position offers excellent exposure within an operator, the opportunity to work in multi-discipline teams and to get involved from Day One with a priority project which will continue to increase in importance. The company seeks to create a resourceful and flexible workforce that is responsive to changing economic climates and business needs, and where an individual's performance is fully respected and properly rewarded.
The main duties will be as follows;
Construct a static geological model of the reservoir
Evaluate in-place oil and gas volumes based on the model to reliably represent the remaining and in-place reserves
Contribute to Field Development Plans with economy and efficiency in mind
Provide mentoring assistance to junior geological staff
