My client is seeking experienced and enthusiastic senior exploration geophysicists and geologists to join their team in central London. They have enjoyed on-going growth and are looking to extend their high impact exploration internationally. You must be eligible to work in the UK.
Key Requirements
• Conducting high quality geological / geophysical and seismic interpretation at both a prospect level and at a regional scale.
• Prospect generation, assessment and ranking.
• Representing the Company’s technical position in any JV structures and to national authorities.
• The ability to liaise, communicate and work well within a multi-disciplinary team.
• At least six years relevant experience, some of which should have been obtained with an Operator.
• Experience of west African exploration plays is an advantage.
• Previous experience of taking new venture opportunities from initial screening through to final recommendation would also be an advantage.
• Ability to complete sound technical assessments of data and to recognise new opportunities and challenge technical pre-conceptions.
• Geophysicist candidates should be conversant with Kingdom Software and/or Petrel, AVO Analysis and Rock Physics.
• Oral and written fluency in English is essential, along with a willingness to travel internationally.
Education:
• All candidates will have relevant undergraduate degrees and possibly postgraduate qualifications from recognised academic institutions.

Job Description
You will be responsible for carrying out data room visits and developing regional play and prospect specific evaluations, with the objective of identifying and recommending attractive acreage for farm-ins, licence applications and asset deals.
