Geophysical Tasks within the team with a focus on regional and semi-regional seismic interpretation, depth conversion


Job Description


Our client is a major Mining and Oil & Gas production company based in Aberdeen and operating in the North Sea


As Senior Exploration Geophysicist your main responsibilities will include


Geophysical Tasks within the team with a focus on regional and semi-regional seismic interpretation, depth conversion
Seismic Interpretation - using workstations and Landmark based application suite.
Sequence strat evaluations
Depth conversion using seismic velocities and well velocities in complex overburdens
Geological concept support


Job skills
Essential
Extensive experience
Technical problem solving
Acquisitions and farm ins
Licence evaluations and applications
Knowledge of AVO and rock physics
Strong interpretation skills
Technically astute fit-for-purpose evaluations
Risk analysis
Supervision of contractor studies


Preferred
Geological background
Knowledge of Landmark suite of programmes
Knowledge of geocellular models
Construction of technical work plans and schedules.
Good understanding of structural geology
