Research and Development Manager
My client is looking for an experienced Research and Development professional with a strong background in developing software. They are an international oil and gas company and their current requirement is for their Houston office. If successful in your application you will have the opportunity to join a company with a reputation for technical excellence as the Research and Development Manager responsible for directing their team of geophysical developers.
As Research and Development Manager, you will need to be capable of successfully managing a software development team as well as having the necessary capabilities to represent the company to existing and potential clients in a technical capacity.
Role requirements:
10+ years of industry experience
Excellent experience in geophysical R&D
Software development and programming expertise
Thorough knowledge of geophysics
Capable of successfully managing technical team
Proven success in client interaction and selling company services
Strong academic background
PhD in related field (Equivalent experience will also be considered)
Job responsibilities:
Leading a technology development team
Managing the development of new software and industry technologies
Co-ordinate with client representatives about company services and technology
Internal and external presentations regarding company products and services
Providing demonstrations of new technologies and softwares as required
Representing company in relevant industry conventions and events
