Alexander Black is recruiting a Principle Process Geophysicist for a global Energy resources consultancy. This major consultancy employs over 5,000 people in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, the United States,
Canada, Brazil, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and Asia. Our international
presence allows us to undertake co-ordinated and integrated projects throughout
the world. Since the beginning of 2010 we have undertaken projects in 123
countries across six continents.
This site covers many aspects of seismic processing, survey planning and modelling for exploration and development geophysics throughout the EAME region and for technical support to our other offices worldwide.
Key Requirements
Experience Required
The candidate should possess:
• Minimum of a first degree in related discipline.
• 15+ years experience primarily in seismic data processing.
• Hands on Land processing experience.
• Ability to work unsupervised and to support others.
• Good knowledge of acquisition, processing and analysis of seismic data.
• Problem solver with drive to deliver technical excellence and practical solutions.
Advantageous:
• Previous consultancy work
• PSDM, AVO and Inversion
• Survey planning
• Other industry software
Job Description
Main Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Project Management of seismic processing projects.
• Survey design and modelling.
• Quality control of seismic data processing at Contractors in-house centres.
• Special processing of seismic data using ProMAX and Hampson-Russell software.
• Technical presentations to clients and at technical conferences.
• Management, marketing and negotiation of contracts and writing of proposals.
