Head of Geoscience Data Management - Perth, Australia - Competitive Salary + Package
My client is a highly reputable oil and gas operator. They have a very strong global presence with ongoing offshore and onshore projects in Western Australia. They are seeking a new Head of Data Management to join their active Perth office.
The Head of Data Management will be responsible for the following:
*Supervise and assist with the maintenance and creation of GIS projects and geoscience workstations
*Oversee data management and GIS employees
*Loading, distributing and archiving of geoscience data
*Monitoring employee performance and setting up workflows and guides
*Work with IT and software providers to rectify problems, manage data back-up etc
In order to fulfill these roles and responsibilities the ideal candidate will already hold certain skills and experience. Some of these have been listed below:
*7+ years of industry experience
*A science degree of tertiary qualification
*Strong software experience - Petrel and Arc GIS would be well regarded
*Team leadership experience
*Ability to manage several projects and strong organizational skills
