Job Description
I fantastic opportunity to join one of the leading global geoscientific data providers to the Oil and Gas industry is now available. Our client are looking for a highly skilled Processing Geophysicist to join the company's Houston office.
As Advanced Processing Geophysicist you will be assisting the QC service Project Manager in applying company quality control methods to deliver project standards and quality assurance. You will also be focusing on supporting Imaging, Sales and Marketing staff to assist with client meetings and client requirements relating to multiple client projects.
Main duties for this position will include:
*Providing quality control of multiple client projects.
*Assisting data management with quality assurance of deliverables from Imaging Department.
*Ensure all quality assurance is followed on client projects.
*Ensure all deliverables are on schedule and completed to assigned deadline.
*Deliver weekly processing status reports for assigned projects.
*Report individual time logs for client projects.
Essential candidate requirements:
*B.S degree in geoscience, math or equivalent.
*Minimum 6 years' experience in 2D&3D seismic data processing (time & depth).
*Highly knowledgeable with UNIX or Linux software.
*Previous experience in geophysics and 3D marine seismic data processing.
*Good interpersonal skills to communicate clearly across multidiscipline departments & clients.
*Familiar with advanced pre stack techniques (3D SRME).
*Knowledgeable with tomography and depth imaging technology.
*Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
