Array Induction SP Filtered (AHSFI) |
This is an acronym for a well log used in the oil and gas industry. You could find this abbreviation AHSFI in your log evaluation software or any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. The abreviatin stands for 'Array Induction SP Filtered'. Usage of this log is not high and encountering it is a rare occasion. This log displays readings of the potential difference (DC voltage) between a movable electrode in the borehole and a distant reference electrode usually at surface. The voltage is due to currents generated by the Electrochemical and Electrokinetic potentials.This log usually has the unit 'Low Electric Potential'.
