Array Induction SP Filtered (ASFI) |
This is the name of a log measured along a well bore (a well-log). You might have encountered this acronym ASFI in your log evaluation software or any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. Array Induction SP Filtered is the full name for this log. This log is not often acquired after (or during) drilling a well. Use this log to investigate the potential difference (DC voltage) between a movable electrode in the borehole and a distant reference electrode usually at surface. The voltage is due to currents generated by the Electrochemical and Electrokinetic potentials.This log usually has the unit 'Low Electric Potential'.
