Based near London, our exciting client is looking to acquire the abilities of a Geophysical Processing Supervisor.
Key Requirements
Education, skills and experience:
• University degree in Geophysics, Physics or similar science related subject.
• Minimum of 8 years in a senior capacity in a seismic processing environment.
• Able to direct and organise project schedules.
• Able to coordinate several teams with multiple projects.
• High-level competency with a variety of seismic data and geophysical techniques.
• Up to date knowledge of relevant geophysical developments.
• A good listener and problem solver.
• Client focus.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the processing activities and projects for teams under your supervision.
• Ensure all projects are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
• Provide support to Team Leaders and Geophysicists to ensure successful client meetings that include effective presentations and a high standard of technical content.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior Geophysicists.
• Manage project costs by ensuring efficient management of projects.
• Actively promote Time and Depth Imaging by building a reputation for quality and timely delivery of projects.
• Assist in development of OpenCPS software by cooperating and liaising with R&D, IT/Systems and Open Geophysical.
• Help promote effective coordination between processing teams (including offshore) to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and best practice.
• Comment on present processing standards and techniques to ensure increased efficiencies in the future.
• Take an active lead in testing and implementing new processing technology.
