I am currently looking to speak with suitable candidates for this Senior Staff Geologist position based in Houston, TX on behalf of my client - a leading international oil and gas company. This is a position for someone with a background in prospect generation as well as in providing geologic support for Deep Water exploration.
Key Requirements
Technical proficiency in sequence stratigraphy, salt tectonics and multiple depositional systems
Worked as and/or been a member of a regional geologic team
Project management skills
Proficient in Landmark Workstations and GIS software
Experience working in salt basins and an understanding of salt tectonics

Senior Staff Geologist - Houston - $Competitive
I am currently looking to speak with suitable candidates for this Senior Staff Geologist position based in Houston, TX on behalf of my client - a leading international oil and gas company. This is a position for someone with a background in prospect generation as well as in providing geologic support for Deep Water exploration.
Job Requirements:
*Integrate basin scale seismic interpretation, salt tectonics and well logs information to support generation of prospects
*Generating isopach and reservoir fairway maps and cross sections
*Provide regional product maintenance - ensuring they reflect all current data and understanding
*Build and maintain historical exploration database including
*Help organize and maintain information databases
*Manage third party contract work as well as any interactions with Universities and research consortia and ensure transfer of information to the company's technical staff
*Generate technical material - present to peers and management
Essential Job Experience:
Technical proficiency in sequence stratigraphy, salt tectonics and multiple depositional systems
Worked as and/or been a member of a regional geologic team
Project management skills
Proficient in Landmark Workstations and GIS software
Experience working in salt basins and an understanding of salt tectonics
(Previous experience working the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico would be an advantage)
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of industry-related experience
Must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis
Education Requirements:
MSc in Geology as a minimum
