OLEO is looking for WellSite Geologist
OLEO is a leading independent consulting company providing both the Projects Owners & Contractors with a wide range of technical assistance services.
We are currently looking for a Wellsite Geologist for various oil & gas projects located worldwide. The Wellsite Geologist will be responsible for performing all geological and formation evaluation activity at the rigsite. He/She will also work closely with the Drilling Supervisor to come up with the safest and most efficient plans to drill a well while meeting all expectations.
Responsabilities:
• Perform all geological and formation evaluation activity, supervision and reporting, including Well Final Report.
• Comparing data gathered while drilling with predictions made at the exploration stage.
• Quality Control of conventional Wireline Logging acquisition and draft deliverables. Quick-look log evaluation and recommendation of sampling intervals/points for sidewall cores, fluid samples and pressure measurement tests.
• Supervising of Mudlogging and LWD services, including draft reports and deliverables.
• Assure the reliability of the acquired data.
• Select coring, logging and casing points according with the approved Well Program.
• Control of sleeve core drilling, handling and core description.
• Advising Drilling Supervisor on drilling hazards.
• Training staff as required.
• Work in the office during the interwell periods.
Profile:
• Degree in Geology from a recognised University.
• 10 years’ experience in well geological operations, at least 3 of them as Wellsite Geologist.
• Demonstrated experience in onshore and offshore wells is required.
• Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages will be a plus.
