Welcome to us! Your main objectives are building, monitoring and updating static models as well as performing operational and post-operational work, supervising the well site geologists and liaising with the Drilling organization in all phases of the drilling of a well. Your internal and external interfaces are within our organization in Norway and in Poland, and if requested relationship building with external stakeholders related to exploration activities.
To give you an idea, the responsibility of your role will amongst other duties include:
All necessary coordination between and contact with the Exploration department, License Geologist and the Drilling organization in relevant phases
Adequate contribution to the design of the well, Kick-off and Site Survey meetings, HAZID, HAZOP and external Pre-spud meetings
Preparing the geological prognosis and data acquisition input to the drilling program, including follow-up
Providing partners in the License and the NPD with updated well data
To increase operational effectiveness and cost reduction and transfer of experience within the company
To qualify you hold a university degree (MSc) in Geology or Geophysics and minimum 5 years of relevant work experience within the oil industry. Your ability to work independently, to be creative, decisive and act efficiently under pressure makes you stand out. Just as important are your soft skills – the right attitude, social talent and interpersonal ability are vital to get ahead with us. You are of course fluent in English, verbally as well as in writing.
