My client is an independent Oil company with many exciting new projects in development, thus resulting in their need to hire experienced and qualified geoscientists and engineers. This role is for a Petrophysicist (HPHT) to be based in their Aberdeen office, you must be eligible to work in the UK.
Key Requirements
- You must have a minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in the oil industry, preferably working for an operator
- Your experience will ideally include extreme HPHT reservoir developments
- Ability to perform rigorous, comprehensive petrophysical analyses, single-wells and integrated field studies
- Experience in integrated petrophysical model build including upscaling
- Extensive analytical experience deriving in situ core data and saturation height models
Job Description
Key responsibilities (but not limited to)-
- Deliver petrophysical analysis and prepare reports effectively combining available data
- Provide essential petrophysical data, act as the key owner of static and dynamic petrophysical models
- Be responsible for on-going evaluation of existing projects, developmental projects and mature high level prospects
- Provide design support to safe, fit-for-purpose LWD, wireline, core handling procedures and RCA/SCAL programmes from a HPHT perspective
- Manage your study workload to include improved development and recovery from reservoirs depending on the overall business's requirements
- Work effectively in a collaborative environment with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Promote business awareness in decisions and recommendations
