Hays have partnered with an established Regional Drilling contractor whom currently operates a large fleet of jack-ups with several more about to go live. Due to these project requirements there are numerous opportunities for Electrical Maintenance Supervisor


The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supporting the management in creating and implementing maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure all required work is done on time without any delay in service delivery.

Key Requirements

Required Experience:

• Amphion / Cyber / Conventional experience
• Supervisory skills
• Minimum 3-yrs off-shore rig experience (not platform)
• In-depth AC / DC system knowledge
• Electrical diploma
• Preventive maintenance skills

Job Description

The successful candidate will be tasked with the following activity and responsibilities:

• Maintaining the computerized rig preventive maintenance programs in order to support the overall electrical maintenance process.

• Support the implementation of planned preventive maintenance programs on all rig facilities to decrease forced outages, and to maintain designed rig output.

• Support the planning and supervise the implementation of corrective maintenance programs on all rig facilities in order to minimize down time and decrease outage duration.

• Ensure that the stock of critical spares is maintained in order to avoid delay in attending to machines maintenance.

• Identify possible failure points and ensure appropriate action is taken to troubleshoot complex problems on the rig.

• Stay on top of the latest technology on the rigs and advice superior on implementation of the same.

• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental management procedures and controls across the electrical maintenance section to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality service and a responsible environmental attitude.

• Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervision in order to ensure that the flow of work is continuous and adequate relief is provided.

• Assist in the execution of the Qatarization plan and the training/development of Qatari Nationals in order to meet the company’s objectives.
