I would like to have your advice where I can apply for a masters course in geology preferably in exploration, economic geology or GIS, in UK. Am a Zambian GIS and Database geologist working for an exploration company.

I would advise you to go with the exploration program. There is more opportunity than in economic geology, and GIS. The pay is probably better than the other two alternatives.
GIS has had the problem of overcoming the bad reputation that came from the over selling and grand unfulfilled promises that those in Remote Sensing made.
Definitely go with exploration in my oppinion.

That all depends on what you plan to use it for. Each software package has it's advantages and disadvantages. I don't us GIS a lot, but it's probably the most popular spatial analysis and mapping tool.

I was wondering if anyone could guide me regarding PhD studies in America. I wish to do a PhD in sequence stratigraphy from America.I have also shortlisted university of Texas, University of Houston and University of Arizona. But I am confused as I don't know which university is having a well developed sequence stratigraphy group. So, I f anyone can guide me, which university , could be other than these, is having a good reputed sequence stratigraphy group then I would be heartily grateful.
