Principal Petrophysicist

As part of one of the leading Petrophysics teams in the world, you will be working with some of the industry's most innovative technologies in areas such as Geological Mapping, Remote Sensing and Seismic Monitoring.

Candidates should have proven technical experience as well as a good understanding of the science and technology involved in advanced Petrophysics.

Your responsibilities include:
As a Principal Petrophysicist, you will review the technical work of other petrophysicists at various levels of review committees. Review and supervise petropysicists in their petrophysical evaluations. Perform petrophysical evaluations on critical wells. Review and endorse Full Field Reviews and Field Development Plans conducted by own staff as well as third parties. Performed petrophysical evaluations for block acquisitions, farm-in opportunities and other international ventures as well as providing technical advice on petrophysics to other subsurface professionals and project teams.
You will be responsible for acquisition and quality control of petrophysical data in all company operations, both domestic and international.
Responsible for the training and supervision of junior petrophysicists, their technical assessments, career development of junior staff, coaching, mentoring, preparation of training materials and conducting training courses.
To be suitable for this role you will need to have the following profile:
*Over 15 Years Oil and Gas experience
*Experienced with Clastic and Carbonate Wells
*At least Bachelor degree Qualified
*Experienced at coaching and mentoring junior staff
*Willing to relocate to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
