Job Description

My client is an international operator with a large presence in the Indian oil and gas sector. They have both domestic and overseas field operations where data acquisition projects are being executed. They are now seeking to find a new Acquisition Geophysicist.

The successful candidate will be an operations geophysicist who is able to lead seismic acquisition projects and understand asset teams requirements and interpret them into project execution.

The role will also involve the mentoring of junior geophysicists, contributing to the planning of project budgets, networking with old and new vendors and stewarding the tendering process.

Experience & skills required include:

*M.Tech or MSc in Geophysics
*15+ years experience primarily in seismic acquisition.
*Familiar with National & International acquisition projects and contractors.
*Understanding of asset teams requirements
*Willing to travel
*Strong HSE leadership skills
*2D & 3D land and marine seismic survey planning
*SEG & EAGE member willing and able to meet conventions
