Job Description
Although the contractor is responsible for the complete operation, any social accident/incident related have a high potential effect on the Company reputation and social acceptance of the project. The company needs to have a high level of social performance monitoring of the contractor against the business social responsibility policy and the social commitments that the company will take with local communities.
- Act as an advisor to the operator and to seismic contractor party manager on social issues and concerns in the field.
- Set an example by personal application of social principles and practices.
- Acting as the Company field principle point of contact with the Seismic Contractor and Sub Contractors with respect to social issues. Providing feedback to the seismic supervisor on the on all social aspects.
- Participate in the definition and implement the social program proposed by the management to comply with legal and social requirements.
- Define and maintain an update stakeholder map of the area of the operation.
- Define and maintain a Seismic Contractor social performance monitoring against established social management procedures and social commitments with local communities.
- Define and supervise programs for monitoring social climate of the local areas.
- Identify social risks, impact, accidents, incidents; investigate accidents, incidents to an appropriate level. Document the findings, including the identification of root causes and appropriate corrective and/or preventative actions; Disseminate lessons learned.
- Define action plans to address identified risks and impacts. Establish the responsibility for completion of corrective and/or preventative actions.
- Measure and improve Social performance by developing, maintaining and tracking social objectives and targets.
- Process, reporting the results of monitoring programs to management. Ensure documentation of the status of all open corrective and/or preventative actions; review progress to ensure that they are addressed.
- Plan and schedule inspections and audits based on operational activities, levels of risk and results of previous monitoring programs and inspections/audits; Conduct audits. Audits should identify examples of best practice as well as recommending corrective action where appropriate; Document all audits, identifying any non-conformances; prioritize and address all audit non-conformances; Record non conformances and track the actions implementation.
Skills & Experience
- Engineer or other university technical or social degree
- Extended experience in oil industry
- Extended experience in managing social issues on onshore extractives activities
- High level of speaking, reading and writing English
- Stakeholder engagement; Social Risk Assessment, Accident / Incident Investigation, HSE and SR MS Audits, Crises and Emergency Response Plans; Negotiation Management; Conflict Management.
- Persuasive and self-confident in conducting supervising activities, well-developed communication skills, both verbally and in writing, ability to manage the emergencies and conflicts and to be rigorous in work.
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
