The well-site Geologist will provide offshore geological support to the Exploration and Well Engineering teams and to ensure high quality data are delivered.
Key Requirements
The Candidate should have experience in mudlogging, wireline operations & formation pressure testing and formation evaluation measurement while drilling services.
Job Description
The Candidate will:
*Evaluate offset data before the start of drilling.
*Analyze, evaluate & describe formations while drilling, using cuttings, gas, supervising mudlogging, formation evaluation measurement while drilling and Wireline data and monitoring quality control in relation to these services.
*Supervising & controlling on core cutting and DST testing operations as per mentioned in well prognosis.
*Compare data gathered during drilling with predictions made on prognosis.
*Advises on drilling hazards and drilling bit optimization.
*Pore pressure & fracture pressure gradient evaluation.
*Clear communication regularly with and reporting to Senior Operations Geologist in Basrah office.
* keeping detailed records, writing reports, completing daily, weekly and post-well reporting logs and sending these to Basrah office.
*Follow the correct health and safety procedures (HSE).
