Research and Development Manager (Subsurface)


An opening has become available at an internationally acclaimed oil and gas company, who are looking for a Research and Development Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi! An exceptional candidate manages and directs a Subsurface R&D Group in conducting high-quality Research and Development (R&D) to ensure development of innovate, efficient and environmentally acceptable and cost-effective technical solutions for exploitation of ADCO difficult reservoirs in order sustain production capacity and replace reserves (70% and higher recovery factor).


To be suitable for this role, it is required for you to have the following background:
* 15-20 years' experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, working on Carbonate Reservoirs.
* Master's Degree in Engineering with qualifications in Petroleum Geosciences.
* 6 years in a managerial role.


Some of the Key Responsibilities that you will be given are as follows:
* Developing business driven applied R&D projects focusing on reaching 70% and higher recovery factor from company reservoirs.
* Key contribution to the company R&D and technology business planning and technology transfer required to maintain company operations and achieve strategic targets.
* Fostering research team members and PI/PIRC research faculty and graduate students to ensure accomplishment of their R&D goals and objectives.
