Broad range of technical responsibilities, including prospect evaluation through 3D seismic interpretation (PSTM and PRSDM) and mapping, risk analysis and volumetric estimations. Key Requirements Our Client is an independent oil & gas company with operations in across the globe including the UK. Due to a large expansion, they now seek a Chief Geophysicist to lead their UK team. • Good Honours degree in Geology or Geophysics • Strong technical skills in 2D and 3D seismic interpretation (Petrel) • Experience of seismic acquisition and processing design and QC • Familiar with latest seismic technologies eg PSDM, inversion etc • Highly motivated with excellent communication skills, capable of delivering quality projects on time. Job Description • Generation of new drilling opportunities on existing fields and satellite structures: • Seismic interpretation and mapping, as input to geological and reservoir engineering models • Recommendation of seismic acquisition and processing programmes • Evaluation of New Business opportunities • Mentoring junior colleagues Apply for this oil and gas job
