Key Requirements Education Job Description Role summary To provide geophysical expertise to support Cairn’s exploration and new venture activity, in particular driving forward geophysical evaluation of assets and prospect generation. Areas of responsibility • Seismic Interpretation using GeoFrame/SMT Kingdom and mapping using PetroSys • Interpretive evaluation and integration of potential field data including magnetics, gravity and controlled source electromagnetic • Quantitative geophysics and interaction with rock physics and petrophysics • Collation/Integration and analysis of geological, geophysical and petrophysical data from multiple sources including wells and remote sensed data • Preparation of basin, play, block, lead and prospect maps and sections • Play, prospect and lead analysis, risk assessment and volumetrics, stochastic and deterministic • Interaction with 3rd party geological/geophysical studies and projects • Written and verbal reporting and appropriate presentation • Input to well proposals/post well evaluations as appropriate • Recommendation, preparation, design and operational management of geophysical field programmes, processing and reprocessing programmes, including Wellsite geophysics • Mentoring and coaching of junior staff in all the above Apply for this oil and gas job |
