Our Client -
A global Oil and Gas operator with assets across the Americas, Europe and Africa who are experienced an ongoing expansion within the business due to strong producing assets and extensive exploration campaigns. The business is a growing mid-sized operator with lots of room for development but also the opportunity to become involved in a variety of projects and gain recognition for your work.
Job Description -
The organisation are currently in the ramp up to a number of major development projects across their North Sea assets and as such are seeking a strong development geophysicist to join and lead these projects. The role of the new incumbent will involve leading all geophysical aspects of new developments to ensure a high quality of quality control and to meet project deadlines. Deliverables will include seismic interpretation, map development, volumetric estimates, risk analysis, well planning and structural frameworks. This will also involved working closely with a multidisciplinary team to geophysical support to all aspects of appraisal and development
Team management for all geophysical project staff will also be a crucial aspect of this role.
Candidate Requirements -
In order to be considered for this position applicants must hold the following attributes:
- Degree qualification in Geophysics or Geoscience, ideally with a complimentary post-graduate degree
- Extensive experience in field development across the North Sea
- A proven track record in delivering high quality technical work
- A broad knowledge of subsurface disciplines include reservoir engineering, petrophysics and production engineering
- Extensive knowledge across seismic acquisition, processing and interpretation, structural geology principles, mapping techniques, geotechnical risk and uncertainty analysis.
- Affiliation to a relevant industry body
- Experience of managing or leading a project team of technical specialists
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills and;
- The ability to work under pressure and deliver timely results.
