My client - a leading international Oil and Gas company - is looking for individuals with outstanding technical ability and experience to join their Houston office as Data Processing Manager. The Data Processing Manager will co-ordinate all technical aspects of data processing (including 2D, 3D, land and marine) and provide expertise in this area when required.

Data Processing Manager - Houston, TX - $Competitive
I am currently representing a fantastic opportunity for highly-experienced data processing geophysicist candidates. My client - a leading international Oil and Gas company - is looking for individuals with outstanding technical ability and experience to join their Houston office as Data Processing Manager. The Data Processing Manager will co-ordinate all technical aspects of data processing (including 2D, 3D, land and marine) and provide expertise in this area when required. They will also organize project schedules and provide technical management for all production projects.
Additional job responsibilities include:
Overseeing data processing activities - ensure they are conducted without unnecessary time or cost wastage
Guidance for parameter testing and selection
Actively promoting company's processing services, providing necessary data examples and helping to produce technical marketing material
Present relevant lectures to geophysical staff on specialist processing techniques
Work with R&D managers and external suppliers on software development; test and provide feedback for software.
Market company actively in market place; develop and maintain client relations
Providing technical input for client meetings
Manage personnel reviews and other potential personnel issues such as sickness or discipline
Organize meetings, reviews and appraisals for team leaders
Qualifications:
Expertise in all aspects of data processing (2D / 3D / Land / Marine)
Able to provide technical training as and when required for all geophysical staff
High-level competency with a variety of seismic data and geophysical techniques
Up to date knowledge of relevant geophysical developments
Essential Job Experience:
10+ years of specialized experience in geophysics
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Geophysics, Physics, Geology)
Additional academic qualifications beneficial
