Job Description


Regional Geoscientist based in Sydney $180k-$250k + fantastic package

My client is an International publicly listed producing Oil and Gas Company. This operator is undergoing rapid growth with several ongoing international developments, robust finances and significant cash flow. They are looking for a driven, ambitious Regional Geoscientist to join their team, grow within their company and in return the individual will be offered exciting new opportunities as well as an outstanding package!

This role covers all aspects of basin-wide technical evaluation, including project management and a hands-on technical contribution for assessment of prospective fairways, plays and their resource potential and risk.

The successful candidate will be:

*Posses hands on skills in geological and geophysical evaluation
*Have a highly experienced technical background in regional-scale prospect evaluations
*Have key skills in Stratigraphy, Basin Modelling, seismic interpretation with geochemistry and petrophysics being an advantage
*You must have a degree in geosciences with and advanced degree desirable
*Have 10+ years industry experience with an international operating company and a focus on regional geological interpretation
*Advanced knowledge and experience of petroleum geology in a variety of different tectonic settings around the world

The successful Regional Geoscientist will be responsible for screening new business opportunities. They will also be responsible for the identification, technical evaluation and capture of new exploration opportunities and will contribute to the identification of new focus areas for the company.

This position is based in Sydney. Occasional overseas travel will be required.

The package which our client is offering is $180k- $250k Australian Dollars dependant on experience + superannuation + generous bonuses.
