Job Description
Activity will focus on the sandstone and carbonate reservoirs. Smaller reservoirs will be developed at a later stage in the project. Main activity:
- Infill drilling, workover (WSO, ESP, recompletion) surveillance: welltesting, PLT, Saturations, PBU/PFO
- Development drilling, workover (conversions, recompletion) introduction Waterflood, surveillance.
In near future all study work will be done by the Sunbury base support team(RST) so reservoir simulation, geo-modeling etc. will not feature in the duties of the ROO based subsurface team. The brief is to recruit an additional 23 people for the ROO in Basra and 4 people for the RST in Sunbury(see tables below).
Skills & Experience
- A good Bachelor degree qualification
- Strong communication / team orientated skills
- Fully fluent in English
- Significant post graduate experience within a large scale oil asset based operating environment
- Candidates can be specialists e.g., 1. practical petroleum engineering skills around well work and interventions or 2. a specialist in production systems modelling or 3. be a generalist i.e., a cross range of experience. We are flexible on the make-up of the as long as the balance of expertise is achieved.
- Carbonate oilfield experience
- Waterflood experience
- Multi-national/cultural team environment
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
