Post subject:  What type of rock is this

Hi

Can anybody tell what rock this is and what minerals it contains?

Both the photo appears to be of the same rock type. Although difficult to identify, to me the samples may be igneous rock, there is some golden metallic luster so presence of pyrite (?) possible also the dark blackish surface could be due iron rich minerals. I also guess it could be an ore specimen.

Thanx for the info.it was one whole rock which I split in half
