Post Rocks ID
Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, but I'm hoping you can help me out.

My girlfriend is a primary school teacher. To be able to teach children about rocks, she'd like to know what kind of rocks the following are.

I've photographed them in order from 1-9. Find the full image (.jpg 20MB) on http://www.treeinthelake.com/wp-content ... /rocks.jpg.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Kind regards,
Pim

Tough to tell from the images alone.

I think 2 and 9 are a pumice from a volcano. 8 a quarts cristal
6 and 7 a rounded quartzite (granite)

maybe 4 is diorite and 3 a obsidian
