Post Understanding the formation of sedimentary structures
Hello everyone ,

I am an undergraduate student of Applied Geology currently studying at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur , India. I have doubts related to the formation of sedimentary sturctures like cross bedding , ripple migration , dunes and antidunes formation and how they eventually form bedding sequences , most of them forming in underwater to sub-aqueous conditions.

In addition to this , I would like to know that how are these surface exposures useful in identifying drilling locations or any other project to be carried out in petroleum and mining industry.
Any suggestion , be it reference to books or research papers or video links , is welcome.

Thank you
