I am a complete noob at this. I live in Arizona and explore abandon mines all over the state. YES I take great precautions doing this. Along the way i pick up rocks from tailings and various locations around these mine sites. So I was at this mine http://www.mindat.org/loc-3402.html we were exploring a dry creek in the area and i found a interesting rock. Ive been trying to use various tools to identify it and im just not sure.. I have attached the pic.. Its quite heavy. About 1 1/2" long. Is not magnetic. Is silver/dark grey. Extremely metallic looking shiny crystals. Does not glow under black light. Any suggestion would be awesome..

Would a magnetometer be of some help? If yes Gem systems in Ontario provides best quality advanced magnetometers. |
