Hi,

I'm captivated by the accounts at this link and therefor wanted to share it!
Does anyone have any knowledge of it or care to speculate on provenance? Why would it apparently remain stationary over a period of years?

That's an interesting story, and not crazy at all! Its actually a way oil companies find oilfields as it must have been a subsea petroleum seep. A oil reservoir must be present bellow and could be drilled into. No ideas on the provenance though!
