Post Hey everyone, stuck and in need of your expertise.
My names Danny, and I'm currently on my MSc in GIS at Sheffield Hallam.

For my dissertation I want to use the following title:

' How does a Geographical Information System (GIS) aid in the exploration of Oil and Gas?'

In order to do this I have the following research objectives:

• How GIS is currently being used in Oil and Gas exploration.

• Examine GIS as a field and look at current relevant literature to identify themes that could benefit the future of Oil and Gas exploration.

• Through the use of qualitative information gained from leading oil and gas consultants gain knowledge on if they believe that GIS is being used to its greatest potential and what the future holds for GIS in this field.

From looking at this I have found it very difficult to find current relevant literature to a GIS's role within Oil and Gas exploration. If anyone could point me in the direction of some key text it would be much appreciated.

Thankyou for reading my post,

Danny
