Never heard of it either... I guess they are referring to a rock sample. Either a drill cutting or a side-wall core.

This is probably way after the fact, but I just joined the Forum with a query on "clabs" and found elsewhere that it is a French acronym, meaning "carottage latérale à balles", which I would translate "lateral ball coring". Can you confirm please?

CLABS (carottage laterale a balles) means Sidewall Coring in French.
