Post subject: | Seismic Polarity, vintages and conventions (SEG & Shell)?? |
Hi all, I am having trouble with understanding my seismic polarity. Several of my vintages that I use seem to be phaseshifted 180 degrees. I know several (two) types of colouring (negative and positive) conventions are used. The Shell convention and the SEG or something. Are they processed differently or is a simple phase shift in order?? And how does the input wiggle relate to this polarity (zero phased??). I have had this in university, but can;t seem to remember the details. Any documents/explanation on this would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Carl |
