Post subject:  Automatic Carbonate (Karst) recognition in 3D Seismics

As part of the a EC-funded project, automated texture recognition algorithms for 3D seismic data and medical data have been developed. Based on these algorithms, Upper Paleozoic karst have been detected in 3D seismic data from the Barents Sea.

My experience with automated texture recognition in 3-D seismic data is that it is fast, objective and can provide detailed results. If you have worked on automated texture recognition, please let me know what your experience is!
